Department of Arts & Humanities

The Department of Arts & Humanities offers multidisciplinary courses at both Undergraduate and Postgraduate levels. A course at the undergraduate level offers a variety of three disciplines namely Journalism, Psychology and English,  thereby providing an opportunity to the students to specialize in any one of the disciplines at the postgraduate level.

The degree program in English at the postgraduate level aims at honing the analytical skills of the students  to use their knowledge in real life keeping in mind the vision and mission of the Institution. Moreover, the interdisciplinary nature of the course helps the students to attain the breadth of imagination that is required by them to evolve as scholars.  The Undergraduate and Postgraduate programs provide opportunities for holistic development of the students with the focus on inculcating research aptitude and the ability to indulge in unconventional thinking. The courses aim at sensitizing the students to the demands of the industry through supplementary knowledge dissemination in the form of guest lectures, industrial visits, workshops, knowledge-enriched exhibition and fests as well as presentation of research papers. A great emphasis is laid on developing the communication skills of the students for them to meet the challenges in their  professional life.
