Journalism: Journalism is a compact course that aims to provide an exposure to the students to the theoretical aspect of the discipline in relation to the introduction to Communication and Media Studies, Print Media, Audio Visual Media, Media Laws, Reporting, Editing, Media Management, Advertising, Public Relations, Media Issues and Development as well as Communication Theories. The practical component of the course aims to train the students in Reporting, Editing and Media Management.
Psychology: The course in Psychology consists of a theoretical component and a practical component. It provides the students an exposure in Basic Psychological Processes, Brain and Behaviour, Developmental Psychology, Counselling Psychology, Educational Psychology, Abnormal Psychology as well as Industrial and Organizational Psychology. The course in Psychology is designed to emphasize on experiential learning.
Optional English: The course in Optional English is compact encompassing various aspects of English Literature and of English as a language. It comprises of British Literature, American Literature, Indian Literature in English, Indian Literature in Translation, World Literature in English, World Literature in Translation and Facets of Language – Phonology, Morphology, Syntax and Discourse. It aims to provide an exposure to the students in relation to various aspects of English Literature and Language. The course also aims at honing the communication skills of the students.
