Dr. Priyadharshini C.P.C.

Assistant Professor of English

Dr. Priyadharshini C.P.C. is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Arts and Humanities at Christ Academy Institute for Advanced Studies. With a strong academic background and a deep passion for English Language and Literature, she holds an MA, M.Phil., B.Ed., PGDCET, Ph.D., M.sc (Psychology). Her teaching combines literary analysis with insights from psychology, providing students with a well-rounded understanding of both subjects. She has 6 years of teaching experience and specializes in English Language and Literature, with expertise in British and American literature, Postcolonial studies, Asian Studies, and Comparative Literature. Her teaching approach encourages students to think critically, analyze texts, and understand their cultural and historical contexts. She also focuses on language development, helping students improve their communication skills through both Literature and Language. Her B.Ed. qualification enriches her ability to teach with empathy, creativity, and a focus on student development. It strengthens her classroom management skills, enhances her understanding of pedagogical principles, and empowers her to connect with students in meaningful ways, all of which are essential for creating a positive and impactful learning experience.

In addition to her formal qualifications, Dr. Priyadharshini has completed several certificate and diploma courses in Communicative English, which have further enhanced her teaching of language skills. These include the Business English Certificate (BEC) from Cambridge University, as well as diploma course from Bharathiar University that focus on improving spoken and written English. These certifications enable her to teach both academic English and professional communication effectively, preparing students for success in the global job market. She has presented her research at various national and international conferences and has published papers on literature, language, and psychology. Her research combines literary analysis with psychological perspectives, making her work unique and interdisciplinary.
