Editorial Committee
“Writing is the painting of the voice”- Voltaire
About
The Editorial Committee is dedicated towards bringing out the skill of creative writing amongst the students. The committee aims at providing a platform to the budding writers in the institution as it is an excellent platform to showcase their written communication skills.
Objectives
To inculcate and promote a sense of self-expression which can be a healthy way to navigate through negative emotions and thoughts that a writer may experience. Under the supervision of the teachers, the committee offers an excellent opportunity to all those students who can express their views better on paper rather than the spoken activities. It also captures all the activities, events, programs that were organised by the various departments and other clubs and committees throughout the semester. The chief product of the Editorial Committee is the bi-annual college newsletter Kaleidoscope which captures all the important events that are conducted on and off campus. Creative writing allows students to refocus their energies on other things and to become better at discovering alternatives and new solutions to problems they might be experiencing and offer them the imagination boost they need to think more innovatively and to push boundaries. Hence, a primary objective of the committee is to help students expand their language abilities and explore skills that they might not be able to exhibit in the day-to-day classroom activities.
