Dr. Benzigar M

Assistant Professor of English

Dr. Benzigar M is a recipient of the UGC- NET/Junior Research Fellowship from the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India. He holds a doctoral degree in English from Madurai Kamaraj University, specializing in English Language Learning and Applied Linguistics. With over eighteen years of academic experience, Dr. Benzigar M has taught a variety of courses, including English Language and Literature, Film Studies, Comparative Literature, Communication Skills, Professional Ethics, Soft Skills, Teacher Educator Training, and guidance for Competitive Examinations to prepare young aspirants for their careers. In addition to his teaching, Dr. Benzigar M has substantial administrative experience. He has led departments and schools at various institutions, serving as Head of Department (HoD), Coordinator for Research, Coordinator- Office of Examinations, Coordinator for PG programs, Coordinator- Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), Coordinator -Consultancy and Member of College Academic Council. An active researcher, Dr. Benzigar M publishes articles on language skills and assessment, comparative literature, material production, communication strategies, and film studies. He has a notable publication record, contributing thirteen book chapters and publishing eighteen articles in leading journals, including those listed in SCOPUS and the UGC-CARE list. Moreover, he has presented research papers at thirty-one international conferences and seminars. Dr. Benzigar M also actively contributes to professional development. He has served as a resource person for various events, including Faculty Development Programs (FDPs), International Conferences, Workshops, Quality Improvement Programs (QIPs), and seminars. Additionally, he has organized ten faculty development programs and eighteen workshops and seminars for teachers and students.
