ST.CHAVARA EXCELLENCE AWARD
The Excellence Award at CAIAS honours students for their outstanding academic performance, dedication, and
achievement. This award is constituted after the name of St. Kuriakose Elias Chavara, the founder of the CMI
congregation, who was a visionary educationist and social reformer who championed the cause of accessible
education in Kerala. His pioneering efforts in establishing schools and promoting literacy continue to inspire
academic excellence and holistic development.
- This award is given to students who excel in their studies and are the top performers in their
programme. - The award is available for both undergraduate and postgraduate students, with cash prizes for the top
three in each programme:
- Rs. 10,000 for 1st place
- Rs. 7,500 for 2nd place
- Rs. 5,000 for 3rd place
- To qualify, students must have a minimum of 80% in their semester.
PADMA BHUSHAN FR.GABRIEL CHIRAMEL CMI MERIT SCHOLARSHIP
Merit scholarships are awarded to applicants who achieve high grades in their qualifying exams when applying for UG and PG programs at CAIAS. This award is constituted after the name of Padma Bhushan Fr. Gabriel Chiramel CMI, a visionary educationist and social reformer who founded several prominent institutions and contributed immensely to education, health, and human welfare. His legacy of academic leadership and community service continues to inspire generations. He was instrumental in establishing several institutions such as Christ College, Irinjalakuda; Amala Cancer Hospital, Thrissur; St Joseph’s College, Irinjalakuda; Carmel Higher Secondary School, Chalakudy; Bharat Matha School, Palakkad; Catholic Centre, Irinjalakuda and Deepthi Cultural Centre, Kozhikode.
* Students with 95% and above: Rs.5,000/-
VIDYADHANAM SCHOLARSHIP FOR FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE
In alignment with St. Kuriakose Elias Chavara’s vision of inclusivity and educational empowerment, the Vidyadhanam Scholarship for Financial Assistance is designed to support economically underprivileged students, especially those from rural areas, as they embark on their first year of undergraduate or postgraduate studies. St. Chavara’s commitment to accessible education for all, motivates us to ensure that financial barriers do not hinder pursuing higher education.
- Students enrolling in their first year of U.G or P.G. course who are economically underprivileged,
particularly from rural areas, are eligible to apply. - Applicants must provide sufficient proof of eligibility, including a community/income certificate from
an official not below the rank of revenue inspector. - Applications will be reviewed, and eligibility will be determined through a final interview by the
scholarship committee, with or without the presence of a parent or guardian.
* The Principal will decide the financial assistance amount.
INSTALLMENT FACILITY
- This facility is available at the time of admission for first-year fees.
- Students who cannot pay their fees in one instalment can use this facility by completing a designated application form at the Office of Admissions.
- Applications will be processed by the Office of Admissions on specified dates.
- Students must pay their fees in one or two instalments on the dates set by the office.
ALUMNI ENDURANCE SCHOLARSHIP
CAIAS students who wish to pursue postgraduate studies at Christ Academy Institute for Advanced Studies immediately after completing their undergraduate degree, without any break, are eligible for a 5% scholarship on their first-year fees.
DIVYAANG SCHOLARSHIP
This scholarship provides financial assistance to physically challenged applicants to help them pursue higher studies. (Valid certificates must be submitted).
Scholarship amount: Rs. 5,000/- per year.
BISHOP CLEMENT THOTTUNGAL SPORTS & CULTURAL SCHOLARSHIP
This scholarship is designed to recognize and encourage students with exceptional talent in sports and cultural activities. At CAIAS, this scholarship is awarded during the admission process to students who have achieved notable success by winning prizes at national and state-level events. This scholarship is constituted after the name of Bishop Clemens Thottungal CMI, the first bishop of the Sagar Diocese, who was a visionary leader. He dedicated his life to education and social development, particularly serving the rural poor. His enduring commitment to community welfare and holistic service is reflected in the significant impact he made on the lives of many.
Criteria:
- National Level Achievers: Rs.10,000/-
- State Level Achievers: Rs.5,000/-
SERVANT OF GOD FR.CANISIUS SCHOLARSHIP FOR STAFF’S CHILDREN
CAIAS encourages its staff members to enroll their children in Christ Academy Educational Institutions. Staff members’ children are eligible for a scholarship of Rs. 5,000 each year and a Rs. 15,000 exemptions from the establishment fee at our schools. This scholarship is constituted after Servant of God Fr. Canisius CMI, a distinguished scholar in Sacred Scripture and a spiritual guide known for his simplicity, prayerful life, and care for the poor. His unwavering commitment to God’s will and profound theological insights continue to inspire both academic and spiritual excellence.
CAIAS BEST OUTGOING STUDENT ENDOWMENT AWARD BY ALUMNI ASSOCIATION
The Alumni Association constitutes the award for Best UG Outgoing student to recognize the student who is diligent in academics, actively participates in sports/cultural/club activities and holistic education during studies. This is a nominative award based on the recommendation of the heads of the departments. The decision of the office is final.
Note:
- If the student is eligible for a scholarship in multiple categories, only the highest scholarship amount is applicable.
- Scholarship is bestowed for students who are successful in qualifying examinations administered by competent regulatory boards of India.
- Scholarships are not transferrable.
- The fee does not include Books, Uniforms, Shoes, Transport, or Certificate courses.
GOVERNMENT AIDED SCHOLARSHIP
STATE SCHOLARSHIP PORTAL FOR SC / ST / MINORITY / BACKWARD CLASS CATEGORY
- Caste Certificate: Signed by Tahasildar and issued within the last five years, stating Registration RD Number.
- Income Certificate of the Parents: Signed by Tahasildar & renewed on or after July 2014. Income should be below 2.5 Lakh, stating the candidate’s Father & and grandfather’s name.
- Study Certificate/Bonafide Certificate.
- Marks Card: – For 1st Year degree students – 10th & PUC marks card and Aadhaar Card.
- For 2nd & 3rd Year students, use the 10th Mark card, PUC, Degree marks card, and Aadhaar Card.
- Fee receipt for the current academic year.
- Hostel Admission Certificate (Only Applicable for Hostel Students)
- Student Bank Account details – a copy of Pass Book & Aadhaar card.

Minorities (Muslims / Christians / Sikhs / Buddhists / Parsi)
- Minority candidates who have secured at least 50% marks or a grade equivalent to 50% in his/her previous examination are entitled to avail of this scholarship.
- The overall annual income of the candidate’s parents/guardians from all sources collectively must not exceed Rs.2 lakh.
- Students belonging to communities (Muslim/ Christian/ Sikh/ Buddhist/ Jain/ Parsi) who are declared as a minority by the Government of India can avail of this scholarship by using the below Online Link.
Education Assistance to children of the Organised workers, those who pay the Welfare Fund Karnataka Labour Welfare Board
