About

WEC is to promote self-development of women in all domains of life enabling them to create their own signature in the society and to ingrain moral values for the amelioration of self, family and society. It gives a unique platform for women to be confident and efficient to face the challenges and to recognize the importance of their role in the society. WEC train women to gain broad spectrum of skills and knowledge, to evolve and flourish their social, economic and intellectual dimensions for tranquility and prosperity of mankind.

Objectives

- - To promote a culture of respect and equality for female gender among students
  - To sensitize students towards gender
  - To Create awareness on rights of women
  - To enhance self confidence among women
  - To establish healthy and friendly environment in campus
  - To create a conducive counseling environment for female gender to share their problems.
  - To provide training for the personal and professional development.

Initiatives

- - Educating the teaching and non-teaching staffs and students towards gender sensitization.
  - Counseling services.
  - Provision of opportunities and programs for female gender to be mentally and emotionally empowered so as to promote their growth as individuals in their own right.
  - Conducting various competitions to encourage their artistic talents for creative thinking
  - Organizing workshops on personality development
  - Conducting guest lecture by eminent people from different fields focusing on the upliftment of women.
  - Organsing awareness programs and certificate courses for the women in the institution.
  - Conducting important expert talk regarding essential legal rights available for women facing challenges in the institution as well as imbibing confidence to face these challenges with the WEC support.

Powers and duties of WEC

- - To work towards creating an atmosphere promoting equality, non-discrimination and gender justice.
  - To promote and facilitate measures to create a work and study environment that is free of physical and mental harassment of women.
  - Providing women equal rights to participate in education, society, economics and politics.
  - Giving the women employees a voice by regularly providing them with all the necessary information, tools, training and equal authority so that they get a chance to excel.
  - As women are primary caretakers of children as well as elders in every country hence women should be given sense of security and respect through their jobs so that they will be able to educate not only
