About

Centre for Integrated Education and Life Skill Formation (SAMAGRA)

The Centre for Integrated Education and Life Skill Formation, commonly referred to as Samagra, is dedicated to providing a holistic educational experience that seamlessly blends academic learning with personal and communal development. Samagra aims to cultivate students’ abilities to integrate their knowledge across various courses and extend this learning beyond the academic setting into real-life contexts. Its mission is deeply rooted in fostering self-awareness, social responsibility, and empathy among students. This mission is further supported by promoting cultural diversity and inspiring innovative solutions to pressing environmental challenges.

The centre’s logo, an evocative design of two hands evolving into a tree, encapsulates its philosophy of nurturing support and growth, symbolizing a balanced approach to personal and communal development. This emblematic representation underscores Samagra’s commitment to integrating various life aspects and ensuring comprehensive development.

For the academic year 2024-2025, Samagra has structured its curriculum to cover a broad spectrum of modules across two semesters. In the odd semester, students engage with topics such as Classroom Etiquette, Physical Health, Environmental Sustainability, Personal Financial Planning, Stress Management, and Professional Etiquette. These modules are designed to build a solid foundation in essential life skills and responsible citizenship. As the academic year progresses into the even semester, the focus shifts to Physical Health, Yoga & Meditation, Time Management, Mindfulness Practices, Government Schemes, and Digital Etiquette. This shift is aimed at enhancing students’ ability to manage their health and time effectively, while also preparing them to navigate the digital world responsibly. Additionally, Samagra offers a certificate course in First Aid, equipping students with critical emergency response skills that are invaluable in real-life situations. The centre operates within a well-defined framework to ensure that all activities align with its core parameters, including physical and mental health, societal and cultural development, and economic and environmental sustainability. A key component of this framework is the “Samagra Hour,” a dedicated slot in the students’ timetable during which the modules and certificate courses are delivered. This structured approach ensures that the educational experience is both comprehensive and integrated, promoting a balanced development that prepares students for various challenges and opportunities. Through its diverse offerings and structured operations, Samagra stands as a testament to the commitment to fostering well-rounded, responsible, and capable individuals ready to contribute positively to society.
