Assistant Professor of Finance and Statistics
David Vishanth J is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Management Studies at the Christ Academy Institute for Advanced Studies (CAIAS), Bangalore. He holds a B.Com and an M.Com in Finance, is a NISM-certified Research Analyst, and is pursuing the GARP Financial Risk Manager (FRM). With around five years of teaching experience, he teaching Finance and Quantitative courses.
His teaching is practice-oriented, built around applied problem sets, activity-based learning, and the analytical tools used in financial markets. His research focuses on commodity market volatility and the transmission of oil price shocks across Indian equity sectors, using econometric methods. He also works on integrating AI tools into education.
