Village Adoption Programme

As part of the Village Adoption Program, the Centre for Village, Women and Social Empowerment organized a visit to the Government Primary School in Matakayyanadhoddi, Ramanagar District. The initiative aimed to foster community development, promote social responsibility, and contribute to the educational and environmental well-being of the school and its students.

Plantation Drive

A key initiative was the plantation drive, where college students, school children, and teachers planted a variety of saplings around the school. This activity aimed to encourage environmental awareness and enhance the greenery of the school environment.

Distribution of Essential Items

To meet immediate practical needs, reusable plastic plates and glasses were distributed for hygienic meals. Children were also given chocolates and biscuits as a treat to brighten their day and boost morale.

Fun Activities

To make the visit enjoyable, several fun activities were organized. These included games with paper glasses to improve concentration, a group singing session, and drawing competitions to express creativity on themes like nature and the environment.

Communication Skills Program

A short program was held to enhance the children’s communication skills. They were encouraged to speak in front of a group on simple topics and participate in interactive discussions to develop listening skills and reduce fear of public speaking.

Outcomes of the Program
