The Centre for Research at Christ Academy Institute for Advanced Studies (CAIAS), established in June 2025, marks a significant milestone in the institution’s dedication to cultivating a vibrant academic research culture. With the aim of empowering faculty and students to make a meaningful impact, the centre offers a comprehensive platform that supports research across various disciplines. It plays a key role in guiding researchers through all phases of the research process — from problem identification, research design, data management, analysis, dissemination, and real-world application. Through its structured policy framework, the Centre actively encourages the acquisition of third-party funding, interdisciplinary collaborations, and socially relevant projects, thereby strengthening CAIAS’ mission to make a positive contribution to science and society.
Since its inception, the Centre has launched several important initiatives, including awarding seed grants for major and minor research projects, promoting internal colloquia via the working paper series, and integrating research findings into teaching practice. These activities not only motivate faculty to produce high-quality publications but also improve student learning by bridging the gap between theory and practice. A key focus is on research ethics. Clear guidelines- especially concerning the responsible use of artificial intelligence - ensure transparency, integrity, and accountability.
