Christ Academy Group of Institutions were established in 2005 in Bangalore under the trust Devamatha Educational Foundation, with the vision of providing value-based education rooted in excellence and service. The journey began with the establishment of Christ Academy ICSE School, followed by the addition of the CBSE School, PU College, Degree and Postgraduate College (CAIAS), and Law College, making it a comprehensive educational hub.
Christ Academy Institute for Advanced Studies (CAIAS) was founded in 2016 under Bangalore University and is approved by AICTE with NOC from the Government of Karnataka. CAIAS is a minority institution run by the Carmelites of Mary Immaculate (CMI), a Catholic religious congregation established by St. Kuriakose Elias Chavara, a visionary educationist and social reformer who dedicated his life to transforming society through education and faith.
Though CAIAS is a minority institution, it is deeply committed to providing quality education to all students without distinction of religion, caste, or creed. The institute blends academic excellence with a holistic approach to learning, fostering intellectual curiosity, ethical values, and social responsibility.
The CMI Congregation, inspired by its founder’s legacy, has significantly contributed to education in India and abroad. It manages an extensive network of institutions that continue to enlighten minds and transform lives across the globe.
