First up was the written quiz competition that saw a surge of participation from students across all disciplines. This event not only challenged the students to showcase their knowledge but also provided a platform for them to learn from their peers.

Next was the Science Quiz, an event that brought together the bright minds of CAIAS with the budding scholars of Christ Academy Junior College. The quiz was a part of the Science Day activities, and the students demonstrated their grasp of scientific concepts with remarkable ease.

The club also held a fun quiz during the 5-a-side Soccer intra-collegiate football tournament, keeping the audience engaged with a flurry of intriguing questions. The event was a resounding success and proved that the club members had mastered the art of combining sports and academics seamlessly.

Finally, the Quiz Club organized an Inter-departmental Quiz competition that tested the students’ knowledge across a variety of subjects. The event saw participation from students across all departments, and the winners walked away with accolades and admiration.

The Quiz Club’s events have been a tremendous source of inspiration for the students, fueling their passion for learning and promoting healthy competition. The Quiz Club is a shining example of how extracurricular activities can enrich the academic experience, and the students of CAIAS are fortunate to be a part of this exceptional community.

The Literary Club

The Literary Club at the institution has been a vital platform for students to showcase their literary prowess and hone their oratory and writing skills. This semester, the club has continued to provide a wealth of opportunities for students to exhibit their literary talents and enhance their communication abilities.

The Caption Writing Contest was a highlight of the semester, offering students the chance to showcase their creativity and linguistic abilities. The competition saw students write captivating captions in English, Kannada, Hindi, and Malayalam, with each entry displaying the writer’s unique voice and style.

In addition to the Caption Writing Contest, the Literary Club also organized an Elocution Competition, which tested the students’ ability to articulate their thoughts with clarity and conviction. The event saw students deliver powerful speeches on a variety of topics, leaving the audience mesmerized.

The club’s influence extended beyond the literary sphere, as students were given the opportunity to cover and report on the International Conference, Anveshana 2019, and other events. This exposure to real-world journalism not only helped the students hone their writing skills but also gave them a chance to experience the thrill of reporting.

Furthermore, a few students even took on the role of Anchors and Masters of Ceremonies in various events such as Rangotsava, College Day, and Anveshana 2019. This provided a platform for students to exhibit their oratory skills and showcase their talent in front of a large audience.

The Literary Club has been instrumental in providing a platform for students to unleash their literary creativity, sharpen their communication skills, and expand their horizons. The club’s efforts have not only fostered a love for literature but also helped students develop critical skills that will serve them well throughout their lives.

Centre for Social Empowerment (CSE)

At Christ Academy Institute for Advanced Studies, the CSE Club is more than just a student organization – it is a force for social and environmental change. Through its various initiatives, the club has provided a platform for students to engage in activities that not only enhance their technical skills but also help them develop a sense of social responsibility.

This semester, the club members came up with an innovative idea of collecting old newspapers and converting them into useful bags, which were distributed to the local community. This environmentally friendly approach not only reduced waste but also generated funds that were donated for a noble cause. The students behind this idea were able to use their technical expertise to create a sustainable solution that benefited society.

The CSE Club also collaborated with the NSS Club to participate in several social initiatives, including street plays that conveyed powerful messages on issues such as environmental conservation and social equality. Through these activities, students were able to use their technical skills to create impactful campaigns that inspired and educated the community.

By providing opportunities for students to engage in social activities, the CSE Club has helped students develop valuable skills such as leadership, teamwork, and communication. These skills are essential for success in any field and will undoubtedly benefit the students in their future endeavors. Additionally, the club’s initiatives have helped students cultivate a sense of responsibility and empathy, which will make them better global citizens.

Photography Club

The Christ Academy Institute for Advanced Studies has been buzzing with excitement lately as the Photography Club has been creating opportunities for students to showcase their creative talents. The club recently organized a series of events that proved to be a massive hit among the students.

The first event, a workshop on short film making, was conducted by Mr. Leo, a renowned filmmaker. The students were thrilled to learn from a master of the craft, and Mr. Leo did not disappoint. His insights on the technical aspects of filmmaking and his advice on storytelling were invaluable to the budding filmmakers in the audience.

Next up was a film festival, in association with the Department of Science. The festival showcased films that explored the intersection between science and art. The students were enthralled by the various perspectives presented and left with a newfound appreciation for the subject.

Finally, the Photography Club hosted a stunning photography exhibition that provided a platform for all the club members to showcase their skills. The exhibition was a visual treat, with each photograph telling a unique story. The students were thrilled to see their work on display and received a lot of positive feedback from their peers.
