Dr. Christina Romeo

Assistant Professor

Dr. Christina Romeo is a dedicated educator and researcher with a profound passion for teaching and academic inquiry. She is currently a Teaching Assistant at Christ (Deemed to be University), Bangalore, and has previously served as an Assistant Professor at renowned institutions like St. Stephen’s College, Uzhavoor, and Bharata Mata College, Thrikakkara. With a Master’s degree in English from St. Thomas College, Pala, where she graduated with distinction, and a PhD from Christ University, Dr. Romeo has an impressive academic trajectory. Her research interests span Dalit Christian studies, Malayalam literature, and the intersection of caste and cultural representation in cinema and literature. She has presented papers at prestigious conferences and published extensively in peer-reviewed journals, including Contemporary Voice of Dalit and Quest Journals.

Dr. Romeo’s commitment to education goes beyond teaching. She has authored two books, Lit Quest: A Literature Q & A Journey and A Glance into Malayalam Literature, which serve as valuable resources for literature enthusiasts. A recipient of the UGC NET qualification, she has been actively involved in academic and extracurricular initiatives, including organizing seminars and contributing to the preparation of question banks for Mahatma Gandhi University. Her ability to combine innovative teaching methods with research acumen has made her a guiding force for students, inspiring them to explore their potential and achieve academic excellence. Fluent in English, Hindi, and Malayalam, Dr. Romeo also brings a unique cultural perspective to her work, enriching the learning experience for her students.
