Dr. Md. Shaik Amzad Basha
Assistant Professor
Dr. Md. Shaik Amzad Basha is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Management Studies at Christ Academy Institute for Advanced Studies (CAIAS), Bangalore. He holds a PhD in Management from GITAM University, Visakhapatnam ([2026]), an MBA, and a B.Tech in Electronics and Communication Engineering from JNTU Anantapur. He brings over ten years of combined experience in teaching, research and the IT industry, including five years as a Software Engineer working with an IBM client.
His research applies AI and machine learning to business problems, with a focus on sentiment analysis, NLP for multilingual and code-mixed Indian text, predictive modelling and explainable AI. He has 58 Scopus-indexed publications, 98 citations and an h-index of 4, and has reviewed 66 manuscripts for Scopus/SCI-indexed journals. At CAIAS he teaches Research Methodology, Business Analytics and Business Research Methods, guides PhD scholars and BBA interns, and brings tools like Power BI, Python and RPA into the classroom.
