Ms. Akila Mathew is an accomplished academician specializing in Human Resource Management, Organizational Behaviour, Event Management and Soft Skills Development. She holds a Master’s Degree in Social Work with specialization in HR from St. Joseph’s University and brings diverse experience as a faculty member, social worker and HR professional. Her teaching methodology emphasizes interactive learning, leadership development and skill-based education, blending theoretical foundations with practical industry exposure to equip students with confidence, communication, competence and workplace readiness.
Beyond academics, she is a multifaceted professional with expertise in event management, student counselling and performing arts. Akila Mathew was an active member of the Karnataka Event Management Association (KEMA) from 2021 to 2024, where she was responsible for preparing official reports, maintaining documentation, and coordinating the planning and execution of monthly professional events conducted across Karnataka. Through this role, she developed strong competencies in organizational coordination, stakeholder communication, and large-scale event management. She was also associated with COREA and played a significant role in organizing a major industry event hosted at The Leela Bhartiya City. In addition, she coordinated with event managers from across India for a national-level collaborative event held in May 2025, demonstrating her ability to manage professional networks and execute large-scale institutional and industry engagements.
