Swachhata Hi Seva

Swachhata Hi Seva

The NSS Unit of Christ Academy Institute for Advanced Studies successfully conducted the “Swachhata Hi Seva” Cleanliness Program today as part of our community service initiatives.

As part of the nationwide “Swachhata Hi Seva” (Cleanliness is Service) campaign, our dedicated National Service Scheme (NSS) volunteers and students took to the streets to make a tangible difference in our local environment.

The team identified a site on the Begur Koppa Road, near Jigani, that was unfortunately being used as an open dumping ground. Faced with a challenging pile of plastic, packaging, and other mixed waste, our volunteers rolled up their sleeves and got to work.

Equipped with gloves, masks, and cleaning tools, the students and staff worked together for hours. They meticulously collected, segregated, and bagged the extensive waste, which was then loaded onto a truck for proper and responsible disposal.

The “before and after” images clearly show the incredible impact of their hard work. A public area, once buried under debris, has been completely cleaned and restored, demonstrating the power of collective action.

This cleanliness drive is a testament to the CAIAS NSS Unit’s commitment to community service and environmental stewardship. A huge congratulations to all the volunteers for their selfless efforts and for setting a powerful example for the entire community!
